Activities: General Park Maintenance, Cleaning, and Upkeep
Reflection: Over the course of my internship I've learned a lot about having a job and many other things as well. I have learned what it takes to become a park ranger and what they have to deal with in their everyday lives. They have to police the park, keep the facilities nice and safe, have a large knowledge of the environment they work in, and be educated about the wildlife in the area. This has been a really great experience for me because it assured me of my college and career path. During my internship I have also realized what people have to do to keep state parks up and running and it has given me a new appreciation for those people who choose it as their job. I believe that AOIT has more than prepared me to go out and get a job. Many skills that helped me included interviewing skills, teamwork skills, and some technological skills. I think that overall my internship has gone well and that I have worked up to my supervisors expectations. Even though my internship ends soon I hope that they would allow me to come back next summer if I asked.
